Explore the amazing feats of local wildlife and the cool adaptations that help them survive. How far can a flying squirrel glide? Can you jump like a white-tailed deer or make it to the pond like a snapping turtle hatchling before something spots you? Through fun challenges and activities, families will compare their skills with Pennsylvania’s animal all-stars. Each child will receive a Tyler journal to track their discoveries, with time at the end to create entries. Bring your journal to future Family Explorers tours to capture all the wild moments of the season. Get moving and learning together!

Pre-Registration for this program is required. The program is best suited for elementary school-aged children accompanied by an adult. Family and siblings of any age are welcome. Check in at the Visitor Center, where you’ll meet your guide. In case of inclement weather, the tour will move indoors.
