West Chester Juneteenth Celebration
Join the Cultural Alliance of Chester County as they celebrate Juneteenth and the end of slavery in the United States—all are welcome! They’ll honor the sacrifice of our ancestors and share the cultural heritage of enslaved people, and their descendants through entertainment, art, education, and an ever-present always-developing sense of community at various locations throughout West Chester.
At 1:00 pm, there will be a theatrical re-enactment of the Juneteenth Proclamation, followed by a Town Hall meeting at Bethel AME Church at 2:30 pm. The NAACP will hold a Flag Raising and Recognition Ceremony at the Charles A. Melton Arts and Education Center at 4:00 pm followed by a celebratory dinner at Milestone Events at 4:30 pm.
