Kimberton Waldorf School – Lower School Open House

Kimberton Waldorf’s Lower School cultivates the imaginative capacities of first through eighth graders through integrative education and hands-on learning. When children learn by doing and are encouraged to think creatively, they are able to make connections between art, nature, and academics in a way that cultivates their innate curiosity and deepens their appreciation for the world around them.
Come spend a morning with Kimberton Waldorf’s Lower School and see Waldorf education in motion across the grades. During their Lower School Open House, you’ll have the chance to:
- Visit classrooms during Main Lesson and observe students and teachers engaged in their daily lessons—whether it’s form drawing in Grade 1, a hands-on science experiment in Grade 6, or a lively literature discussion in Grade 8.
- Experience how their curriculum grows with the child, meeting their developmental needs through stories, movement, music, academics, and the arts.
- Tour key areas of their campus, including the gymnasium, cafeteria, painting studio, woodworking shop, and other creative spaces that support the full spectrum of learning.
- Enjoy a concluding Q&A with faculty and staff to ask questions and learn more about Waldorf education.
- Choose to extend your visit with an optional tour of their beautiful garden building or take a peek into the high school to see the full arc of a Waldorf journey.
