Energy Transfer Veterans Memorial Rink 4901 West Chester Pike, Newtown Square

Flight on Ice is an outdoor ice skating rink and entertainment center in Delaware County. New this year, you can expect fun for the whole family including ice skating sessions, a lounge area, a heated tent, and great food and beverages. From December 20th – 31st, Flight on Ice entertainment center will be open everyday at 11 am and will feature special holiday activities, including a visit from Santa! Bundle up and go for a winter walk with your family at the John James Audubon Center. The 200+ acre Mill Grove estate contains five miles of marked nature trails along the Perkiomen Creek for anyone to enjoy. Visit any day from dawn to dusk, and bring your binoculars to spot more than 175 species of birds that frequent the property.

The Brandywine Railroad Toy and Model Trains

The display features trains running on 2,000 feet of track with more than 1,000 pieces, including locomotives, passenger and freight trains, and trolleys that pass through a small village, a farm, factories, and even a carnival and a drive-in movie theater. Interactive components are also incorporated into the display, operated by hands-free foot pedals that allow for further engagement.

People’s Light Presents “A Christmas Carol”

The Holiday Garden Railway exhibit is an outdoor miniature display, included with Garden admission. Visitors of all ages will be wowed by a quarter mile of track featuring seven loops and tunnels with fifteen different rail lines and two cable cars, nine bridges (including a trestle bridge you can walk under), and bustling model trains, all set in the lovely winter garden of the Morris Arboretum.

Christmas at The Historic Grange Estate

When you come to the Grange, you’ll leave the modern pace behind and experience memories of Christmas with a pronounced Victorian sensibility. The Grange Mansion is decorated throughout with a themed tree in every room, dressed with nostalgic ornaments, copious greenery, and a nod to the mid-century. The Gift Shoppe will be filled with unique hand-crafted items made locally and shoppers will find many Christmas items, distinctive home decor, wearables, and some clever old-fashioned solutions to modern needs.
