They help run Tyler’s field trips and summer camp programs. They have a love of nature and have worked in the outdoor education field for 4+ years. \nPRE-REGISTRATION REQUIRED \nThis program is best suited for elementary school-aged children accompanied by an adult. Family and siblings of any age are welcome. All children must be accompanied by a registered adult. \nCheck in at the Visitor Center\, where you’ll meet your guide. As with any walk at Tyler\, sturdy shoes are suggested. PLEASE NOTE: Strollers may not be ideal on some of our trails. We recommend a carrier if you plan to bring an infant or young child. Weather or other factors may adjust the day’s topic\, but nature will always shine through! In case of inclement weather\, the tour will move indoors.

Slow down and look closely at what’s growing along meadows\, wooded paths\, and occasional streamside spots. Enjoy the simple pleasure of seeing the landscape in detail and notice the Arboretum with fresh eyes. In May and June\, spot wildflowers of late spring and early summer. \nAll levels of experience are welcome.\nCheck in at the Visitor Center and then meet your guide.\nGroup departs from the Visitor Center at 1 pm\, please be on time\nAll youth must be accompanied by an adult.\nWhat to expect: \nModerate\, 2–3 mile walk\nChanges in grade and walking surfaces\, including pavement\, grass\, gravel\, and rocky trails\nInformal discussion of wildflowers and other natural observations\nRestrooms are available at the beginning and end of the walk \nWhat to wear & carry:\nDress in layers for the weather\nHiking boots or shoes with good tread\nWater and snacks\nHand lens or magnifying glass (optional)\nHiking poles (optional)\nPRE-REGISTRATION REQUIRED
