DESCRIPTION:Bread & Salt: Food as Memory + Connection \nWhat stories does food carry? \nBread & Salt is a community-centered exhibition and programming series presented by 20×20 House Gallery and the Lansdowne Economic Development Corporation (LEDC). Through art\, storytelling\, recipes\, and shared meals\, the project explores how food connects us to memory\, family\, migration\, culture\, ritual\, identity\, and belonging. \nThe project includes three connected community programs: \n Bread & Salt Exhibition (August 1–October 4\, 2026)\nA multidisciplinary exhibition featuring artwork\, photography\, writing\, recipes\, installation\, sculpture\, and mixed media exploring the role of food in human relationships. \n Breaking Bread Community Potluck (August 14\, 2026)\nA communal meal where neighbors gather to share dishes\, traditions\, and personal stories\, transforming food into a living archive of community. \n The Lansdowne Community Cookbook\nFollowing the potluck\, recipes\, photographs\, and stories will be collected into a community cookbook celebrating the many food traditions that make Lansdowne unique. \nWhether you’re an artist\, writer\, cook\, restaurant owner\, or community member with a story to tell\, we invite you to participate and help build this collaborative celebration of food\, memory\, and connection. \nCheck the Lansdowne Arts Committee’s Facebook Page for event details: https://www.facebook.com/LansdowneArtsCommittee/
