Summertime and movies are a classic combination! Make it a family movie night at one of these summer showings.

One of the great pleasures of summer is gathering outdoors to watch a movie under the stars on a warm evening. Then again, another special summer treat is escaping into a cool, dark movie theater on a sweltering hot day. This summer, catch a family-friendly flick—either indoors or out—before the season fades away.

Birthday Buddies Free Movie Night

Valley Creek Park, 361 Morehall Road, Malvern
Saturday, August 26, 2023, at 6:45 pm

Birthday Buddies and East Whiteland Township are hosting a free Family Movie Night in Malvern. Come enjoy the Super Mario Bros movie, popcorn, a costume contest, and meet & greets with Mario, Luigi, and Princess Peach! Bring your blankets and chairs to join in on all this fun on Saturday Aug 26th beginning at 6:45pm at Valley Creek Park. Mario, Luigi and Princess Peach will be there from 6:30–7:30 pm.

Eagleview Town Center Summer Events

565 Wellington Square, Exton

Starting in June, Eagleview Town Center is bringing you a summer filled with evening concerts, movies, and a night market. Movies are on Mondays and concerts are on Tuesdays. See the summer events schedule for showtimes and details.

Lansdale Movies in the Park

White’s Road Park, 400 White’s Road, Lansdale

Bring a blanket and popcorn and enjoy the show! Movies start at dusk.

Media Family Movie Night

Barrall Field, Media (across from Media Elementary School)

Get the family together, pack some snacks, and join the fun watching a movie under the stars on a two-story inflatable screen. Movies shown monthly and begin at 8 pm.

Narberth 2 Reel Cinema

129 N Narberth Avenue, Narberth

The Narberth 2 theater offers $6 admission on Tuesdays. Check their website for movies and showtimes.

Outdoor Movie Nights

Peddler’s Village, Routes 202 & 263, Lahaska, Bucks County
Select Saturdays through October, 2023

This summer and fall, Peddler’s Village is presenting free outdoor screenings of new and classic movies on select Saturday evenings. So grab your lawn chairs, picnic blankets, and friends for a movie under the stars! The movie will be shown on Street Road Green at dusk and are weather permitting. Please check our website and social channels for schedule updates.

Paoli Presbyterian Church Summer Movie Night

Paoli Presbyterian Church, 225 S. Valley Road, Paoli
June 28, July 19, and August 16

BYO chairs or blankets for an outdoor movie showing on the church lawn, beginning at 7 pm on June 28, July 19, and August 16. There will be prepackaged snacks and drinks, but you’re welcome to bring your own. The church can’t legally advertise the movies to be shown, so just ask Miss Felicia the next time you see her or contact the church office.

Plymouth Townships Performances in the Park

GPCC Park Amphitheater, 2903 Walton Road, Plymouth Meeting

The free, weekly summer performances at the GPCC Park Amphitheater alternate between movies and concerts. Performances take place from mid-June until the first week in August. There will be popcorn, candy, and drinks available for purchase, as well as Chick-Fil-A iced treats from The Kona Ice truck.

Regal Summer Movie Express 2022

Conshohocken, Downingtown, King of Prussia, Newtown Square, Oaks

Bring the family to the nearest Regal theater for the 2023 Regal Summer Movie Express series for kids! Summer Movie Express tickets are just $2 on Tuesdays and Wednesdays featuring summer movies the whole family will enjoy. Find out what movies are showing.

Whitemarsh Township’s Movies in the Park

Miles Park or Cedar Grove Park, Lafayette Hill

Everyone is invited for a night out in the park where family-friendly films will be projected onto a huge, 40-foot inflatable screen. The parks are transformed into an open-air theater and it is free of charge to attend. Movies begin after dusk. Refreshments and select food items will be available for purchase. Whitpain Township Summer Concert and Movie Series

Multiple Locations, Blue Bell

The Whitpain Township Parks & Recreation is hosting outdoor movies and concerts this summer season. Beginning in late May and running into September, the schedule rotates between drive-in style movie showings and outdoor concerts. Movies begin at dusk and are held at Mermaid Lake Park, with one showing at Montgomery County Community College. Concerts begin at 7 pm at the Gazebos at Wentz Run Park or Mermaid Lake Park.
