Day Out With Thomas

This family-favorite event features a ride with Thomas, offers the opportunity to ride with Percy, and is packed with extra Thomas-related activities like an Imagination Station and storytelling. Families also have the opportunity to meet Sir Topham Hatt. A must-do for any Thomas fan!

Linvilla Orchards Arts and Music Festival

Grand Opening of Lulu’s Casita West Chester

Every Main Line toddler’s favorite home-away-from-home is expanding westward! Check out their second location in West Chester, opening to the public this Saturday morning!

Chalk Mob: Patterns in Nature

September 15, 10 am—noon

Linwood Park, Linwood and Athens Avenues, Ardmore

 

Come out and help create a community art project on the plaza at the park, joined by local artists, to help make a chalk mural “Patterns in Nature.” All ages and abilities encouraged. Come for as long or as short as you like, and feel free to bring pictures or objects that define patterns in nature for you.

Warwick County Park Community Day

September 15, 10 am – 2 pm

382 County Park Rd, Pottstown

 

This spectacular park is transformed into a fall wonderland complete with family-friendly activities, crafts, food, and music. There’s a fantastic playground with plenty of picnic tables to hang out at. There are also plenty of opportunities to fish, not to mention horseshoe pits and walking trails.

Batman Day at Monkey Fish Toys

Craft: Kids Air Plant Pallets

Bring along the little ones for this greenhouse workshop, where they’ll make and decorate a miniature wooden pallet that can display colorful, low-maintenance air plants on the wall. Reservations are required, online.

South Wayne Porch Fest

Sneak Peek-A-Palooza at Main Line Art Center

A one-day, low-cost way to try something new! Mix and match two, hour-and-a-half workshops to get a feel for the tools and techniques used in different mediums during teaching artist demos and hands-on practice. Kids can sample workshops in drawing & painting, handbuilding and more. Pre-registration is required.

Longwood Gardens’ Illuminated Fountain Performance: Divas of Dance

During this 30-minute spectacle, water in all shapes, sizes, and heights combines with music and infinite colors. Tonight’s theme features music from Madonna, Lady Gaga, Rihanna, Beyonce, and many more divas! This is a ticketed performance, so be sure to reserve your spot online in advance!

Family Fun Run at Tyler Arboretum

September 16, 9 am—noon

515 Painter Rd., Media

 

Run for fun around the Scenic Loop! The Toddler 20 yard “dash” will kick off the festivities at 9:30 am, followed by the Stroller Stretch and Roll at 10 am (a scenic power walk through the Rhododendron Garden). For older runners, the inaugural Tyler 2k will take place at 10:30 am. Pre-register online.

Fall Super Sunday

September 16, 9 am—4 pm

State Street, Media

 

The streets will be closed to traffic to make room for over 150 vendors selling antiques, arts and crafts, and more. Many of Media’s stores and restaurants will be offering Super Sunday specials as well.

Taste of Berwyn

September 16, noon–5 pm

Hilltop House, 570 Beaumont Road, Devon

 

Celebrate community, food, music, and arts at this festival that benefits Daemion Counseling Center which helps fund mental health services. Kids will enjoy tasty treats, face painting, a photobooth, balloon creations, magic, dancers, and more fun; while parents will enjoy wine, beer, art vendors, and more.

Radnor Fall Festival

September 16, 1—5 pm

North Wayne Avenue and West Avenue, between Lancaster Avenue and Wayne train station

 

Now in its 26th year, this community festival features fun for all ages with live performances, rides, a rock climbing wall, face painting, vendors, and much more!

Bala Ave Fall Block Party

200 block of Bala Avenue, Bala Cynwyd

 

Come out for a fun day of food, live music, bounces, kids’ activities, and even the Eagles on the big screen!

Narberth Fall Music Festival 

September 16, 2—7 pm

Haverford Avenue and Forrest Avenue, Narberth

 

Enjoy an afternoon of live music, food and drink, and an artists’ alley full of local handmade shopping (that last part starts at noon, if you want to get there early).
