Take Your Child to the Library Day

February 2, 10 am—5 pm

Ardmore Free Library, 108 Ardmore Ave., Ardmore

 

Come for crafts, giveaways, and more. The library will have arts and crafts for both Groundhog Day and Library Day, as well as LEGO tables and other building toys. Raffle drawings will be held each hour, but you must be present to win! There will also be a special story time program at 2 pm.

‘Lu Over the Wall’ at BMFI

Media Chinese New Year Parade

The parade begins in front of Margaret Kuo’s Media and will continue up and down State Street. The Hung Gar Kung Fu Academy will be there performing the traditional Lion Dance, complete with elaborate costumes and rhythm!

Chinese New Year at Elmwood Park Zoo

Free Art Class for Kids at Upper Darby Art Gallery

Kids 12 and under are invited to “JuiceBox Paint & Sip.” Bring your creative youngster for a free art class and explore themes such as abstraction, modernism and color mixing. Materials and snacks are free of charge. Donations are accepted and encouraged.

Winter Wildlife Hike

Free Elmwood Park Zoo Admission for Norristown Residents

Elmwood Park Zoo offers free admission to Norristown Borough residents the first Sunday of each month beginning at 2 pm. Adults must show ID as proof of residence.

Main Line Chinese Culture Center’s Chinese New Year Free Community Gala

February 3, 1—5 pm
Great Valley High School, 225 Phoenixville Pike, Malvern

This free celebration starts with a show featuring Chinese folk dance, traditional Chinese music and poetry, and martial arts. Following the performance is a fair with games, crafts, food, and more.
