Hayrides to Bunnyland

Linvilla Orchards, 137 W. Knowlton Road, Media
Hop aboard a hayride as it carries you through the woods to visit the Easter Bunny’s house where you’ll have the chance to meet Linvilla’s Easter Bunny for photos and treats.
Elmo’s Eggstravaganza
April 6—21
Sesame Place, 100 Sesame Road, Langhorne
Sesame Place is debuting an all new Easter celebration! Take a photo with the Easter Bunny, find your way through an “egg-venturous” maze, go on an Easter Egg Scavenger Hunt, and join Abby Cadabby for an Easter themed storytime. The characters will be in their Easter best throughout the park, and you can also reserve a meal with the Easter Bunny for even more fun.
West Chester Railroad’s Easter Bunny Express
April 13, 14, and 20; noon and 2 pm
230 E. Market St., West Chester
Hop on board the West Chester Railroad and take a 90 minute round trip along the beautiful Chester Creek from West Chester to the historic Glen Mills village. The Easter Bunny will be on board the decorated train handing out treats to all passengers, and there will be live music as well. Tickets available online.
Shady Brook Farm’s Easter Eggstravaganza
April 13, 14, 18–20; 11 am–4 pm

Take a wagon ride to the “Hunting Grounds” where kids will find 6 candy-filled eggs, get a prize and meet the Easter Bunny. There will also be go-karts, obstacle course, inflatables, a sports challenge, and more!

Easter Bunny Brunch and Egg Hunt

Elmwood Park Zoo, 1661 Harding Blvd., Norristown
Choose from three weekends, including Easter Sunday. Each brunch will feature an appearance by the Easter Bunny for a photo op, as well as crafts, admission to the zoo, and a brunch buffet. Guests can also enjoy an Easter egg hunt and animal meet-and-greets. Tickets available online.

Great Philadelphia Comic Con

The Greater Philadelphia Expo Center, 100 Station Avenue, Oaks
This weekend-long event celebrates comics and pop culture by providing unique access to talented artists, celebrities, and a family-friendly experience for fans of all ages. Includes a special kids’ zone by Incredikids, an organization that teaches kids literacy through comics and the arts. Tickets available online.

The Conservatory at West Laurel Hill Cemetery, 225 Belmont Ave., Bala Cynwyd
West Laurel Hill and Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation have again partnered for a fun-filled morning with all proceeds going towards childhood cancer research. Mr. and Mrs. Bunny will be there for pictures, and there will be a massive egg hunt (split up by age so everyone gets plenty of treats) at 11 am. The event will also have crafts, raffles, balloon twisters, caricatures, face painting, and music. $10 per family (for children 10 and under). Online ticket sales end at 3 pm on April 12; walk-ins are welcome. All proceeds go to Alex’s Lemonade Stand.

West Pikeland Township Community Egg Hunt

Come for an Easter egg hunt for kids ages 10 and under, followed by a magic show. Plus, plant a sunflower seed at the Chester Springs Library’s table, pet bunnies at the Pickering Valley Feed and Farm table, have your face painted at the SALT performing arts table, and visit the Easter Bunny!

Science on Screen: ‘Jurassic Park’

Cartooning: Manga the Day Away

If your child is interested in learning more about manga or taking existing cartooning skills in a new direction, Wayne Art Center’s manga workshop provides a perfect opportunity to sample this increasingly popular form of art. Family Day of Clay: Fish Wind Chime

Using kiln fired clay, kids and their adult guest will work collaboratively to create a unique wind chime. Students will create each piece of the fish and then texture the clay and finally paint and decorate it. Works will be fired by the ceramic department, and completed chimes (with finishing kit) will be ready for pick up and at home assembly approximately two weeks after the workshop. Peter Rabbit Painting Project at Radnor Memorial Library
