DESCRIPTION:The Borough of Conshohocken is excited to host the 13th annual Conshy 5K Classic and 20th annual Conshohocken St. Patrick’s Day Parade on Saturday\, March 14. These family-friendly St. Patrick’s Day festivities take place on Fayette Street\, Conshohocken’s main corridor\, between Elm Street and 11th Avenue. Drawing visitors from across Montgomery County and the Philadelphia area\, the yearly events feature green-clad runners\, best costume contest\, lively floats\, traditional Irish dance\, live musical performances and themed refreshments. \nStarting at 12:30pm\, the 5K race helps raise funds for the Conshohocken Fire Company #2\, equipping its firefighting volunteers. Registration and packet pickup will take place at Conshohocken Fire Co #2 (819 Fayette St) on race day beginning at 11am. Registration for the 5K costs $37 (price increases after March 13). \nThe 20th annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade takes place from 2-5pm\, and many visitors continue celebrating local restaurants and pubs on Fayette Street and in the surrounding neighborhood.

Using plants\, flowers\, and other nature-based ingredients\, unlock the enchanted hues of the rainbow – just like the leprechauns love! \nEach participant will get to choose a dye-able item as their canvas: a “Rainbow Twist” Scrunchie or “Magic Mist” Bandana. Participants will then mix\, dip\, and transform it with natural pigments. Through hands-on experiments\, young artists will learn the natural alchemy behind each shade and create a one-of-a-kind lucky charm to take home. Follow the rainbow\, and you just might discover a pot of gold hidden in the colors you create! \nThe $10 fee (per child) will be collected on site and includes: \n\nguided instruction\nnatural dyes\none item to dye (scrunchie or bandana)\na “take home” treasure pot\n\nDye Kits will also be available to purchase. \nRegistration: Reserve your space in advance to guarantee materials. Each parent/guardian should use one checkout link to reserve space for all children in their group.
