DESCRIPTION:A Chester County Labor Day weekend tradition for over three quarters of a Century\, the Ludwig’s Corner Horse Show and Country Fair will take place from August 30-September 1\, 2025. The entrance fee is $10 per carload at at the Main Gate. There is no fee to enter the grounds after 4:00 pm. \nThe Ludwig’s Corner Horse Show has been one of the best shows for Brandywine & Delaware Valleys equestrians to compete in locally-rated competition in Hunters\, Jumpers & Equitation. The Horse Show starts at 8:00 am each day and continues thru to dusk and the full\, daily line-up of events can be found here. \nAs a Country Fair\, the weekend also features many family-friendly activities to satisfy every taste. From good eats and a beer garden\, to pony rides\, face painting\, alpacas to visit with\, and of course Midway rides and games\, plan to make a day of it. Rides are open from 11:00 am – 4:00 pm. Tickets are needed for the rides\, and a strip of tickets can be purchased from any ticket booth and are $1 each. A daily wristband ($20) can be purchased for unlimited access to Inflatables\, the mechanical bull and rock wall (pony rides excluded). Food trucks open at 11:00 am.

DESCRIPTION:Head over to the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center in Oaks for the Cubing USA Mid-Atlantic Championship. Observe participants compete in events such as 7x7x7 cube\, 3x3x3 cube one-handed\, and Megaminx. It will be a weekend full of excitement and ultra-fast results. \nCubingUSA is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to supporting the speedcubing community in the United States. Speedcubing is the act of solving twisty puzzles\, such as the Rubik’s Cube®\, as quickly as possible. Since 2003\, over 15\,000 competitors have participated in over 700 speedcubing competitions in the United States. Besides solving the well-known Rubik’s Cube®\, competitors solve other puzzles including the Pyraminx and Square-1\, and other solving variants such as one-handed solving and blindfolded solving. \nTheir passion for the community is in part because they believe speedcubing has a positive impact on the lives of young people. The skills used in speedcubing are directly applicable to abstract math\, and develop a background that is useful for science and engineering.

This weekend’s kids’ activity will be making Juneteenth Spin Drums and is presented by members of the Wesley AME Church. \nThe Swarthmore College OneCard is accepted at most vendor stands and PA FMNP vouchers are accepted for fresh fruits and vegetables.

Experience their vibrant Illuminated Fountain Performances on Friday-Sunday nights from May through September. \nLongwood’s Main Fountain Garden puts on daily displays as their 1\,719 fountain jets are set to music and soar as high as 175 feet in the air. From May through August\, these shows take place on Mondays\, Wednesdays and Thursdays at 11:15 am\, 1:15 pm\, 3:15\, and 5:15 pm\, and on Fridays\, Saturdays and Sundays at 11:15 am\, 1:15 pm\, 3:15 pm\, 5:15 pm\, and 8:15 pm. \nOn Friday\, Saturday and Sunday nights at 9:15 pm\, those same fountains are illuminated for dazzling\, 30-minute displays of water\, music\, and color. Bringing your own chairs for this event is strongly recommended. While Longwood strongly recommends chairs\, blankets will be permitted in designated locations. Chairs may be placed beginning at 12:00 pm. \nJuly 5th’s performance is a tribute to Prince entitled When Lights Dance\, while July 6th’s Come as You Are show features 90’s hits from the likes of Nirvana\, the Cranberries\, and MC Hammer. \nThis event is free with Gardens admission. DESCRIPTION:A Chester County Labor Day weekend tradition for over three quarters of a Century\, the Ludwig’s Corner Horse Show and Country Fair will take place from August 30-September 1\, 2025. The entrance fee is $10 per carload at at the Main Gate. There is no fee to enter the grounds after 4:00 pm. \nThe Ludwig’s Corner Horse Show has been one of the best shows for Brandywine & Delaware Valleys equestrians to compete in locally-rated competition in Hunters\, Jumpers & Equitation. The Horse Show starts at 8:00 am each day and continues thru to dusk and the full\, daily line-up of events can be found here. \nAs a Country Fair\, the weekend also features many family-friendly activities to satisfy every taste. From good eats and a beer garden\, to pony rides\, face painting\, alpacas to visit with\, and of course Midway rides and games\, plan to make a day of it. Rides are open from 11:00 am – 4:00 pm. Tickets are needed for the rides\, and a strip of tickets can be purchased from any ticket booth and are $1 each. A daily wristband ($20) can be purchased for unlimited access to Inflatables\, the mechanical bull and rock wall (pony rides excluded). Food trucks open at 11:00 am.

DESCRIPTION:Head over to the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center in Oaks for the Cubing USA Mid-Atlantic Championship. Observe participants compete in events such as 7x7x7 cube\, 3x3x3 cube one-handed\, and Megaminx. It will be a weekend full of excitement and ultra-fast results. \nCubingUSA is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to supporting the speedcubing community in the United States. Speedcubing is the act of solving twisty puzzles\, such as the Rubik’s Cube®\, as quickly as possible. Since 2003\, over 15\,000 competitors have participated in over 700 speedcubing competitions in the United States. Besides solving the well-known Rubik’s Cube®\, competitors solve other puzzles including the Pyraminx and Square-1\, and other solving variants such as one-handed solving and blindfolded solving. \nTheir passion for the community is in part because they believe speedcubing has a positive impact on the lives of young people. The skills used in speedcubing are directly applicable to abstract math\, and develop a background that is useful for science and engineering.

Experience their vibrant Illuminated Fountain Performances on Friday-Sunday nights from May through September. \nLongwood’s Main Fountain Garden puts on daily displays as their 1\,719 fountain jets are set to music and soar as high as 175 feet in the air. From May through August\, these shows take place on Mondays\, Wednesdays and Thursdays at 11:15 am\, 1:15 pm\, 3:15\, and 5:15 pm\, and on Fridays\, Saturdays and Sundays at 11:15 am\, 1:15 pm\, 3:15 pm\, 5:15 pm\, and 8:15 pm. \nOn Friday\, Saturday and Sunday nights at 9:15 pm\, those same fountains are illuminated for dazzling\, 30-minute displays of water\, music\, and color. Bringing your own chairs for this event is strongly recommended. While Longwood strongly recommends chairs\, blankets will be permitted in designated locations. Chairs may be placed beginning at 12:00 pm. \nJuly 5th’s performance is a tribute to Prince entitled When Lights Dance\, while July 6th’s Come as You Are show features 90’s hits from the likes of Nirvana\, the Cranberries\, and MC Hammer. \nThis event is free with Gardens admission. This event is free and open to the public\, and all ages are welcome. \nActivities include boat building\, puppet making\, and even constructing a working catapult. Each week promises captivating experiences for kids of all ages with a new make-and-take activity. These activities are available on a first-come\, first-served basis and are available while supplies last. \nParking on-site will be limited due to I-95 CAP construction. However\, many great ways to access the Waterfront include walking and biking along the Delaware River Trail\, rideshare\, and public transit. \nOutside food and beverages are allowed\, although alcohol is prohibited inside DRWC-owned public spaces and coolers are not permitted. Chairs may be occupied in public spaces during a special event or before the start of a special event. Any chair(s) left unoccupied will be removed.
