DESCRIPTION:Relax and unwind amid stunning summer vistas at Longwood Gardens this season. Experience their vibrant Illuminated Fountain Performances on Friday-Sunday nights from May through September. \nLongwood’s Main Fountain Garden puts on daily displays as their 1\,719 fountain jets are set to music and soar as high as 175 feet in the air. From May through August\, these shows take place on Mondays\, Wednesdays and Thursdays at 11:15 am\, 1:15 pm\, 3:15\, and 5:15 pm\, and on Fridays\, Saturdays and Sundays at 11:15 am\, 1:15 pm\, 3:15 pm\, 5:15 pm\, and 8:15 pm. \nOn Friday\, Saturday and Sunday nights at 9:15 pm\, those same fountains are illuminated for dazzling\, 30-minute displays of water\, music\, and color. Bringing your own chairs for this event is strongly recommended. While Longwood strongly recommends chairs\, blankets will be permitted in designated locations. Chairs may be placed beginning at 12:00 pm. \nJuly 5th’s performance is a tribute to Prince entitled When Lights Dance\, while July 6th’s Come as You Are show features 90’s hits from the likes of Nirvana\, the Cranberries\, and MC Hammer. \nThis event is free with Gardens admission. Timed admission tickets are required (timed reservations are required for Members after 3:00 pm Fridays–Sundays).

DESCRIPTION:Sunflower season is in full bloom at Linvilla Orchards! These vibrant\, cheerful flowers are a favorite for cut flower bouquets and are now available for Cut-Your-Own. \nSunflowers bloom for several weeks throughout the summer\, making this a can’t-miss seasonal experience. Guests are encouraged to purchase tickets in advance to begin their picking adventure. Linvilla’s knowledgeable staff is available on-site to assist as needed. \nVisitors should dress comfortably\, stay hydrated\, and follow all signage and instructions provided by Linvilla staff. Pick-Your-Own is open daily from 8:00 am-4:00 pm. Tickets are available online.

DESCRIPTION:Kids\, come out and splash in Brandywine Creek! Squish in the mud\, swish your toes in the water\, and splash your friends. \nKids and adults are invited to play in the stream\, relax\, and enjoy the last days of summer. Be prepared to get really muddy: bring an extra pair of clothes and wear a swimsuit and shoes that can get wet. \nPlease meet at the back of the parking lot by the red kiosk. Restrooms are not available\, so please plan accordingly. Please bring water and a snack. Shoes must be worn to protect little (and big) feet. This event is appropriate for children 3 – 10 years old\, but younger and older siblings are welcome. \nRegistration is required to reserve your spot. Kids are $5\, adults are free. An event ticket and a year-long membership to Natural Lands can be purchased for $30.

DESCRIPTION:Color Your Preschool World at the Chester County Library. Preschoolers can visit the library every week for a new adventure. Mix play-doh\, paint with water colors\, play with bubbles\, or create a craft. A different color theme every week. \nFor children 3 – 6 years old and their caregiver. Caregivers must remain with their child during the program. \nAll programs are FIRST COME – FIRST SERVED and space is limited. Attendees must come to the Youth Services Department no earlier than 20 minutes before the program to get a ticket.
