The event includes livestock shows\, exhibits\, chicken barbeque\, musical entertainment\, carnival rides & games\, fair food\, a beer garden\, contests & raffles\, fireworks and OH MY…those famous DONUTS. \nThe Midway\, rides\, Donut Kitchen and food stands open at 6:00 PM Monday through Friday and at 4:00 pm on Saturday. \nBeer Garden is open from 6:00 – 9:00 PM Monday through Wednesday\, from 6:00 – 9:30 pm Thursday and Friday\, and from 4:00 – 9:30 pm on Saturday. \nThe Fair Exhibit Hall opens at 4 pm nightly and they do not have a set “closing time.”  The rides and fair close depending on the weather and the crowd attendance. \nThis is a free-admission fair\, with parking by donation that supports the local Kimberton Fire Company.

SUMMARY:Longwood Gardens Festival of Fountains and Illuminated Fountain Performances
DESCRIPTION:Relax and unwind amid stunning summer vistas at Longwood Gardens this season. Experience their vibrant Illuminated Fountain Performances on Friday-Sunday nights from May through September. \nLongwood’s Main Fountain Garden puts on daily displays as their 1\,719 fountain jets are set to music and soar as high as 175 feet in the air. From May through August\, these shows take place on Mondays\, Wednesdays and Thursdays at 11:15 am\, 1:15 pm\, 3:15\, and 5:15 pm\, and on Fridays\, Saturdays and Sundays at 11:15 am\, 1:15 pm\, 3:15 pm\, 5:15 pm\, and 8:15 pm. \nOn Friday\, Saturday and Sunday nights at 9:15 pm\, those same fountains are illuminated for dazzling\, 30-minute displays of water\, music\, and color. Bringing your own chairs for this event is strongly recommended. While Longwood strongly recommends chairs\, blankets will be permitted in designated locations. Chairs may be placed beginning at 12:00 pm. \nJuly 5th’s performance is a tribute to Prince entitled When Lights Dance\, while July 6th’s Come as You Are show features 90’s hits from the likes of Nirvana\, the Cranberries\, and MC Hammer. \nThis event is free with Gardens admission. Timed admission tickets are required (timed reservations are required for Members after 3:00 pm Fridays–Sundays).

DESCRIPTION:Explore the local ecosystem this summer at the Wagner’s Fridays in the Field! Beginning June 20th\, the Wagner Teaching Garden will be open for independent educational exploration every Friday from 1 – 3:30pm. \nThe Wagner’s Teaching Garden is their most valuable classroom. Not only is their green space full of pollinator gardens\, but it is also a certified Wildlife Habitat\, Bird Habitat\, and Monarch Waystation—their milkweed plants provide valuable nutrients for Monarch butterflies during their cross continental migration. \nVisitors of all ages may borrow hand lenses for close observation of our urban ecosystem\, use nature guides to help identify the different animals\, trees\, and rocks found in their yard\, or take time to relax in the shade and draw from nature. Wagner staff will be available to facilitate use of materials\, but Fridays in the Field is a mostly unguided opportunity to experience the Wagner Teaching Garden. \nVisitors looking to attend Fridays in the Field must enter the museum through the front entrance on Montgomery Street and check in with the front desk. Visitors who walk-in and visitors who preregister will have full access to the museum and access to the yard from 1:00 – 3:30 pm on Fridays.

DESCRIPTION:The Kimberton Fair is a summertime tradition that has brought people together for generations. The event includes livestock shows\, exhibits\, chicken barbeque\, musical entertainment\, carnival rides & games\, fair food\, a beer garden\, contests & raffles\, fireworks and OH MY…those famous DONUTS. \nThe Midway\, rides\, Donut Kitchen and food stands open at 6:00 PM Monday through Friday and at 4:00 pm on Saturday. \nBeer Garden is open from 6:00 – 9:00 PM Monday through Wednesday\, from 6:00 – 9:30 pm Thursday and Friday\, and from 4:00 – 9:30 pm on Saturday. \nThe Fair Exhibit Hall opens at 4 pm nightly and they do not have a set “closing time.”  The rides and fair close depending on the weather and the crowd attendance. \nThis is a free-admission fair\, with parking by donation that supports the local Kimberton Fire Company.

DESCRIPTION:Individuals on the autism spectrum or with sensory processing disorder and their families are invited to join the Brandywine Museum of Art for early access to the Museum and a variety of creative and accessible activities. \nCreated in conjunction with local families and occupational therapists\, this inclusive and accessible program strives to provide a welcoming experience through offering:\n• Pre-visit social stories\n• Reduced crowding and noise\n• Activities to meet a variety of sensory needs\n• Hands-on art activities for all developmental levels\n• On-hand support of skilled and friendly volunteers\n• Sensory regulation resources such as fidgets\, noise-canceling headphones\, sunglasses\, and a sensory break area\n• Sensory nature walk (weather-permitting) \nThis program welcomes participants of all ages and their families (grandparents\, siblings\, and others welcome). \nThe event is scheduled from 9:00-11:00 a.m.\, with two arrival timeslots to spread out the number of people in the galleries.
