Pumpkinland will be open from September 6 through November 2\, 2025\, offering seasonal energy and attractions for all ages. \nGuests are encouraged to visit the Pumpkinland page on Linvilla’s website for the most up-to-date information\, including hours of operation\, which vary seasonally. \nPUMPKINLAND FEATURES\nHarvest Hayrides: September 6 – November 2\, 2025.\nVisitors can enjoy views of the farm on a 15-minute ride through the fields on Linvilla’s harvest hayrides. These daytime hayrides are open to the public\, with hours that vary throughout the season. \nHayrides to the Witch’s House: September 19–21\, 26–28 and October 1–30\, 2025.\nFamilies can take a trip to meet the friendly witch in the woods. Children will gather around as the witch shares stories and jokes and hands out treats. These evening hayrides run daily from 5:30 pm to 8 pm (Fridays and Saturdays until 8:30 pm). \nAutumn Moon Hayrides: September 19–21\, 26–28\, October 1–30\, and November 1\, 2025.\nGuests can enjoy the night sky on a 20-minute hayride through the fields. These rides are open to the public and run from dusk through early evening\, with hours that vary throughout the season. \nJack-O-Lantern Exhibit: October 17 – 30\, 2025\nEach evening at 6 pm\, jack-o-lanterns will be lit to create a spooktacular scene for the whole family to enjoy. \nHappy Halloween: October 31\, 2025\nOn Halloween\, the Farm Market\, Garden Center\, and Pumpkinland will remain open until 6 pm.

Join Tyler Arboretum for Family Explorers: What Lives at the Arboretum? \nThis program invites families to explore nature using their senses to uncover its secrets. Each month\, head outdoors to discover a different seasonal theme\, searching for plants\, animals\, and other natural wonders that bring the Arboretum to life. Using simple tools like magnifying glasses or binoculars\, participants can take a closer look at their discoveries. \nEach child will receive a Tyler journal to document discoveries\, with time at the end to reflect\, draw\, or write about what they’ve found. Bring your journal to future Family Explorers tours to capture all the amazing moments of the season. \nPre-registration is required for this all-ages event (although this program is best suited for elementary school children accompanied by adults; families and siblings of all ages are welcome). \nCheck in at the Visitor Center\, where you’ll meet your guide. As with any walk on the Tyler trails\, sturdy shoes are suggested.  \nPLEASE NOTE: Strollers may not be ideal on some of the trails. If you plan to bring an infant or young child\, consider a carrier. Weather or other factors may adjust the day’s topic\, but nature will always shine through! In the event of inclement weather\, the tour will be held indoors.

DESCRIPTION:Join Miss Agnes\, a dental hygienist\, and her puppet Bitewing to learn all about healthy teeth. \nCome to the Middletown Free Library for Homeschool Mix It Up time. The library will mix it up with different challenge activities\, which may include: puzzle/logic games\, STEM and critical-thinking activities\, special guest speakers\, and more.  Most tasks are designed to be “just a little extra hard” so that we will work together to develop coping strategies and problem-solving resiliency skills for how to tackle tricky challenges. Drop in for one activity or stay for the whole time. \nCheck in at the front desk. Registration required. Designed for kids ages 6-11 who like to think hard and want more of an academic challenge. But all ages and abilities are welcome! Please specify the number of children you are registering so that there are enough materials available. \nParents are expected to participate in the activities with your child\, and remain in the room.  This is NOT a drop-off event.  Students and parents are expected to listen respectfully during the presentation and model good listening skills and polite behavior at all times.
