Gay Street will remain closed to vehicles on Monday holidays (Memorial Day and Labor Day) and start a day early on Thursdays ahead of Friday holidays (Juneteenth and Independence Day). \nDowntown West Chester has a variety of on-street parking\, surface lots\, and parking garages available. \nOpportunities for free parking downtown: \n\nOn-street parking is free on Saturdays until 5pm.\nOn-street parking\, surface lots\, and parking garages are free on Sundays (excluding the Chester County Justice Center Garage).\nEvery First Friday of the month\, on-street parking is free after 5pm.\n\nGay Street is closed to vehicles for the Open-Air Market every weekend from May through September.
