DESCRIPTION:Join wildflower expert Dick Cloud on an informative two-hour hike through meadows\, woods\, and occasionally streamside. Although the focus is on plants\, he will talk about whatever the group might see! In July and August\, the hope is to see a large variety of summer wildflowers. All levels of knowledge are welcome. \nTo avoid the hottest part of the day\, the July and August walks are scheduled for 11:00 am–1:00 pm\, with two exceptions: July 19\, 1-3 pm and August 16\, 1-3 pm. \nNote that there may be some periods of moderately paced hiking\, so wear comfortable hiking shoes. Feel free to bring a camera and a wildflower guide\, such as Peterson’s Field Guide or Newcomb’s Wildflower Guide\, if you’d like\, and enjoy a botanical-filled walk. \nPre-registration for this event is required. Please check in first at the Visitor Center\, where you’ll meet your guide\, and please be on time. This event is rain or shine and is appropriate for adults (18+) and teens ages 12-17.

DESCRIPTION:Individuals on the autism spectrum or with sensory processing disorder and their families are invited to join the Brandywine Museum of Art for early access to the Museum and a variety of creative and accessible activities. \nCreated in conjunction with local families and occupational therapists\, this inclusive and accessible program strives to provide a welcoming experience through offering:\n• Pre-visit social stories\n• Reduced crowding and noise\n• Activities to meet a variety of sensory needs\n• Hands-on art activities for all developmental levels\n• On-hand support of skilled and friendly volunteers\n• Sensory regulation resources such as fidgets\, noise-canceling headphones\, sunglasses\, and a sensory break area\n• Sensory nature walk (weather-permitting) \nThis program welcomes participants of all ages and their families (grandparents\, siblings\, and others welcome). \nThe event is scheduled from 9:00-11:00 a.m.\, with two arrival timeslots to spread out the number of people in the galleries. DESCRIPTION:Join wildflower expert Dick Cloud on an informative two-hour hike through meadows\, woods\, and occasionally streamside. Although the focus is on plants\, he will talk about whatever the group might see! In July and August\, the hope is to see a large variety of summer wildflowers. All levels of knowledge are welcome. \nTo avoid the hottest part of the day\, the July and August walks are scheduled for 11:00 am–1:00 pm\, with two exceptions: July 19\, 1-3 pm and August 16\, 1-3 pm. \nNote that there may be some periods of moderately paced hiking\, so wear comfortable hiking shoes. Feel free to bring a camera and a wildflower guide\, such as Peterson’s Field Guide or Newcomb’s Wildflower Guide\, if you’d like\, and enjoy a botanical-filled walk. \nPre-registration for this event is required. Please check in first at the Visitor Center\, where you’ll meet your guide\, and please be on time. This event is rain or shine and is appropriate for adults (18+) and teens ages 12-17.
