DESCRIPTION:Children’s Book World to host authors David Levithan and Gabriel Duckels to discuss their new nonfiction book:\nTHE FIGHT OF OUR LIVES: AIDS IN AMERICA\n(Knopf Books for Young Readers\, April 2026) \nCelebrate Pride Month with bestselling authors David Levithan and Gabriel Duckels! \nOn June 11\, 2026\, Children’s Book World in Haverford\, PA will host a Pride Panel featuring the award-winning author David Levithan and University of Cambridge Ph.D. Gabriel Duckels. They will be joined by other notable LGBTQ+ authors: Katherine Locke\, Mia Siegert\, Vincent Tirado\, and Alex Villasante. \nLeviathan and Duckels’ new book\, THE FIGHT OF OUR LIVES\, presents a powerful cultural history of the AIDS epidemic written for teens and young adults. Threaded throughout are first-person interviews and narratives\, as well as poems\, essays\, and other creative works. \nFree Mom Hugs\, a national nonprofit that supports the LGBTQ+ community\, will also be present to share how they make a difference\, and also to share hugs.
