SUMMARY:Ludwig's Corner Horse Show and Country Fair
DESCRIPTION:A Chester County Labor Day weekend tradition for over three quarters of a Century\, the Ludwig’s Corner Horse Show and Country Fair will take place from August 30-September 1\, 2025. The entrance fee is $10 per carload at at the Main Gate. There is no fee to enter the grounds after 4:00 pm. \nThe Ludwig’s Corner Horse Show has been one of the best shows for Brandywine & Delaware Valleys equestrians to compete in locally-rated competition in Hunters\, Jumpers & Equitation. The Horse Show starts at 8:00 am each day and continues thru to dusk and the full\, daily line-up of events can be found here. \nAs a Country Fair\, the weekend also features many family-friendly activities to satisfy every taste. From good eats and a beer garden\, to pony rides\, face painting\, alpacas to visit with\, and of course Midway rides and games\, plan to make a day of it. Rides are open from 11:00 am – 4:00 pm. Tickets are needed for the rides\, and a strip of tickets can be purchased from any ticket booth and are $1 each. A daily wristband ($20) can be purchased for unlimited access to Inflatables\, the mechanical bull and rock wall (pony rides excluded). Food trucks open at 11:00 am.

SUMMARY:Journey to the Outer Planets at West Chester University's Mather Planetarium
DESCRIPTION:On September 5th\, join a live Planetarium show entitled “Journey to the Outer Planets” at WCU’s Mather Planetarium. Mather’s live presentations are given by a professional astronomer and consist primarily of an overview of what is currently visible in the night sky. In addition\, part of each show (approximately 10-15 minutes) focuses on a specific aspect of astronomy\, the topic of which changes each presentation. The shows are appropriate for all ages\, however\, the content and duration of the show may be more appealing to older children and adults. \nAll shows start promptly at 7:00 pm and run approximately one hour in length. Late arrivals will not be permitted to enter the planetarium so please allow adequate time for parking and walking to the planetarium. Doors open at 6:30pm. Shows are general seating. The cost of the show is $6 per person. Children under the age of 5 may sit on a parent’s lap for free. \nNo food or drink is allowed in the planetarium. \nThe planetarium is wheelchair accessible. DESCRIPTION:Paws in the pool is back this year\, and\, due to popular demand\, it’s been extended for a whole week! Before they “paws” their pools for the season\, the JCC invites their canine friends for a day of swimming\, splashing and socializing in their fenced-in outdoor pool and grassy area! Both the toddler pool and heated main pool will be open and there will be a lifeguard on duty.\nThey also encourage all participants to bring a dog item for donation (toy\, food\, towels etc.) to be given to a local shelter. \nDogs and Owners must register for this event. Membership is not required.
