DESCRIPTION:Looking to spark your child’s curiosity about the outdoors? This program invites families to explore nature using their senses to uncover its secrets. Each month\, head outdoors to discover a different seasonal theme\, searching for plants\, animals\, and other natural wonders that bring the Arboretum to life. Using simple tools like magnifying glasses or binoculars\, take a closer look at your discoveries. \nEach child will receive a Tyler journal to document discoveries\, with time at the end to reflect\, draw\, or write about what we’ve found. Bring your journal to future Family Explorers tours to capture all the amazing moments of the season. \nThis tour’s guide\, Barbara Frank\, is a PA Master Naturalist\, a Tyler-trained docent\, a yoga teacher\, an artist\, and a true lover of nature in all of its manifestations. She leads tours for children and adults. \nThis program is best suited for elementary school children accompanied by adults; however\, families and siblings of all ages are welcome. Check in at the Visitor Center\, where you’ll meet your guide. As with any walk on the Tyler trails\, sturdy shoes are suggested. A registered adult must accompany any child ages 17 and under. \nMEMBERS: FREE (Remember to sign into your member account before continuing for your discounts) \nNON-MEMBERS:$18 per adult\, $10 per child ages 3-17; children ages two and under are free and do not need to register. The non-member fee includes admission\, so please feel free to stay for the day! \nGUEST PASS HOLDERS: For non-members only. Longwood’s grand conservatories come alive with a variety of opulent holiday displays. Towering trees shimmer in cool blues\, ruby reds\, emerald greens\, and gilded metallics\, while hanging crystal accents\, lush fabrics\, and gemstone-inspired lighting enhance the immersive experience. Thousands of colorful poinsettias\, fragrant paperwhites\, amaryllis\, and other floral finery are highlighted throughout the conservatories. Inside Longwood’s historic Ballroom\, it’s a glittering celebration of community spirit as eight trees are lovingly dressed in gold and glittering ornaments crafted by local art centers. \nOutside\, more than half-a-million enchanting lights guide guests throughout the Gardens\, past decorated trees\, illuminated displays and other holiday treasures. Gather for fountain shows in the Open Air Theatre\, where 750 jets dance to holiday favorites throughout the day and evening. On select nights\, strolling carolers fill the air with song. \nTimed Tickets to A Longwood Christmas are available now and must be purchased in advance for a specific date and time. Tickets are $45 for adults and $25 for Youth (ages 5-18). Members require free\, timed reservations every day. Gardens Premium Members and Innovators do not require reservations. \n

DESCRIPTION:Step into a world of glittering jewels and timeless elegance this holiday season as A Longwood Christmas returns November 21\, 2025\, through January 11\, 2026. \nThis Christmas\, Longwood’s Gardens are transformed into a living jewel box as radiant as the jewels and gems that inspired it. Longwood’s grand conservatories come alive with a variety of opulent holiday displays. Towering trees shimmer in cool blues\, ruby reds\, emerald greens\, and gilded metallics\, while hanging crystal accents\, lush fabrics\, and gemstone-inspired lighting enhance the immersive experience. Thousands of colorful poinsettias\, fragrant paperwhites\, amaryllis\, and other floral finery are highlighted throughout the conservatories. Inside Longwood’s historic Ballroom\, it’s a glittering celebration of community spirit as eight trees are lovingly dressed in gold and glittering ornaments crafted by local art centers. \nOutside\, more than half-a-million enchanting lights guide guests throughout the Gardens\, past decorated trees\, illuminated displays and other holiday treasures. Gather for fountain shows in the Open Air Theatre\, where 750 jets dance to holiday favorites throughout the day and evening. On select nights\, strolling carolers fill the air with song. \nTimed Tickets to A Longwood Christmas are available now and must be purchased in advance for a specific date and time. Tickets are $45 for adults and $25 for Youth (ages 5-18). Members require free\, timed reservations every day. Gardens Premium Members and Innovators do not require reservations. \n
