Inside Longwood’s historic Ballroom\, it’s a glittering celebration of community spirit as eight trees are lovingly dressed in gold and glittering ornaments crafted by local art centers. \nOutside\, more than half-a-million enchanting lights guide guests throughout the Gardens\, past decorated trees\, illuminated displays and other holiday treasures. Gather for fountain shows in the Open Air Theatre\, where 750 jets dance to holiday favorites throughout the day and evening. Seek out the day’s wonders at the Arboretum\, uncovering plants\, animals\, and other seasonal highlights that bring the landscape to life. \nLed by knowledgeable guides\, your adventure may take you to the pond\, through shady woodland trails\, or into sunny meadows — each offering its own unique discoveries. Using simple tools like magnifying glasses\, you’ll take a closer look at the natural world and learn more about its hidden connections. \nAbout your guide: Forest Knight is one of Tyler’s Lead Educators. Forest joined Tyler’s Education Department in April of last year\, and helps run the Arboretum’s field trips and summer camp programs. They have a love of nature and have worked in the outdoor education field for 4+ years.  \nPRE-REGISTRATION REQUIRED. \nThe program is best suited for elementary school-aged children accompanied by an adult. Family and siblings of any age are welcome. Check in at the Visitor Center\, where you’ll meet your guide. As with any walk at Tyler\, sturdy shoes are suggested. PLEASE NOTE: Strollers may not be ideal on some of our trails. In case of inclement weather\, the tour will move indoors. \nMEMBERS:  FREE \nNON-MEMBERS: $18 per adult; $10 per child ages 3-17; children two and under are free and do not need to be registered. Admission is included in your price\, so feel free to stay the day! \nGUEST PASS HOLDERS (for non-members only): FREE.
