SUMMARY:Pumpkinland at Linvilla Orchards
DESCRIPTION:As the leaves begin to change color\, Pumpkinland returns to Linvilla Orchards in Media. This fall\, visitors can explore an array of pumpkins ranging from small and skinny to tall and plump. The annual pumpkin festival will also feature a variety of autumn activities\, including hayrides\, pick-your-own apples\, and mazes. Pumpkinland will be open from September 6 through November 2\, 2025\, offering seasonal energy and attractions for all ages. \nGuests are encouraged to visit the Pumpkinland page on Linvilla’s website for the most up-to-date information\, including hours of operation\, which vary seasonally. \nPUMPKINLAND FEATURES\nHarvest Hayrides: September 6 – November 2\, 2025.\nVisitors can enjoy views of the farm on a 15-minute ride through the fields on Linvilla’s harvest hayrides. These daytime hayrides are open to the public\, with hours that vary throughout the season. \nHayrides to the Witch’s House: September 19–21\, 26–28 and October 1–30\, 2025.\nFamilies can take a trip to meet the friendly witch in the woods. Children will gather around as the witch shares stories and jokes and hands out treats. These evening hayrides run daily from 5:30 pm to 8 pm (Fridays and Saturdays until 8:30 pm). \nAutumn Moon Hayrides: September 19–21\, 26–28\, October 1–30\, and November 1\, 2025.\nGuests can enjoy the night sky on a 20-minute hayride through the fields. These rides are open to the public and run from dusk through early evening\, with hours that vary throughout the season. \nJack-O-Lantern Exhibit: October 17 – 30\, 2025\nEach evening at 6 pm\, jack-o-lanterns will be lit to create a spooktacular scene for the whole family to enjoy. \nHappy Halloween: October 31\, 2025\nOn Halloween\, the Farm Market\, Garden Center\, and Pumpkinland will remain open until 6 pm.

DESCRIPTION:Bring your walking shoes to Valley Forge National Historical Park for a brisk walk with good company. All fitness levels\, strollers and dogs are welcome! \nWalks on the first and last Tuesday of the month meet at the General von Steuben on Valley Forge Park Road. All other Tuesday walks meet at 1000 N. Outer Line Drive -park in the lower lot and meet at the cross walk. The event will be cancelled in case of inclement weather.

SUMMARY:Homeschool Day at Auburn Heights
DESCRIPTION:Homeschool students can join a day of hands-on learning at Auburn Heights! Best suited for homeschool families with children in grades 1–5\, this interactive day brings history\, engineering and nature to life. \nParticipants can enjoy an “open house style” event at Auburn Valley State Parks & the Marshall Mansion\, wandering between engaging stations and activities including: \n\nA hunt for simple machines inside the 1897 Victorian house\nDiscovery of early local industries\, including mills\, with steam-power demonstrations\nA walk along paved park trails past an 18th & 19th Century mill site and other historic structures and sites\n\nAt the Marshall Steam Museum\, participants can: \n\nEnjoy rides on the Auburn Valley Railroad from 11:00 am – 12:00 pm\nDesign and build their own vehicle using recycled materials\, inspired by early automotive engineering\nStop by the activity table to design your own paper pocket watch\n\nPlease note that all children must be accompanied by an adult throughout their time on the site. Picnic tables are available for participants to eat a bagged lunch outside\, but there will be no food for sale or provided food (or fridge space). \nProgram Admission:\n$25/participating child (grades 1 – 5). Includes grade-specific activities\, entry into the Marshall Steam Museum & Auburn Valley State Park’s Marshall Mansion\, and train rides! \n$15/adult or non-participating child\, infants free. \nFamilies with children outside the recommended grade range are welcome to come along as a non-participant! They can explore the Marshall Steam Museum\, Auburn Heights mansion\, outdoor activities\, park trails and enjoy rides on the Auburn Valley Railroad.
