DESCRIPTION:Fishing enthusiasts\, young and old\, are invited to join the excitement at Linvilla Orchards. Our annual family fishing derby provides children of all ages with the chance to reel in their very first catch\, a moment worthy of celebration. The derby is divided into age groups: 7 & under\, 8 to 11\, 12 to 16\, and 17 & over. \nThe family fishing derby offers a relaxed and inclusive atmosphere where every child gets a chance to participate. Orchard Lake will be stocked with over 1\,000 Rainbow\, Brooks\, Golden and Brown trout. Numerous trophies are awarded throughout the day in various categories. The lucky anglers who catch the first trout in their age group\, will receive a special trophy. Plus\, there are tagged fish which can be caught to win additional trophies and other great prizes. Each angler is allowed to keep one fish\, and any additional trout over 2 lbs cost $16.99\, while those under 2 lbs cost $6.99. \nBring your own rod or rent one – no license is needed to participate. Bait is available for purchase. Rain or shine\, this event marks the start of the fishing season! It’s a wonderful opportunity for a family adventure\, creating memories that will last a lifetime. In addition\, the Lakeside Grill will be open for breakfast\, lunch & drinks.
