SUMMARY:Full Moon Circle: A Space for Reflection + Renewal
DESCRIPTION:Step away from the daily grind and into a sanctuary dedicated to stillness and communal support. \nAvi Fox’s Full Moon Circles are designed as a collective exhale—a dedicated container to reconnect with your internal landscape. Honor the natural cycles of growth and rest\, moving out of “doing” mode and into a state of intentional being. Whether you seek clarity\, belonging\, or a quiet moment to breathe\, you are welcome here. \nThe Full Moon represents the “high noon” of the lunar cycle—a time of illumination\, culmination\, and high energy. Just as the moon pulls the tides\, it invites us to look inward. In this circle\, we pause to celebrate what is blooming in our lives and prune away what no longer serves us\, making space for the season ahead. \nWhat to expect: \n\nIntuitive Guidance: Journaling prompts to help you check in with your current season of life.\nWitnessing Practice: A safe space to speak and be heard with simple\, supportive presence.\nEnergy & Rest: A guided vision quest and group Reiki session led by Avi Fox to help you integrate the evening’s insights.\n\nWhat to bring: \n\nJournal\nPen\nWater\nAny additional props for your comfort while seated in chairs in a circle\n\n*Space opens at 6:45. Please plan to arrive a few minutes early so you can settle into the space before we open the circle at 7. \nBecause of the hands-on nature of this event\, space is limited. \nAges 18+ are welcome to attend. Register online.

SUMMARY:Memorial Day Remembrance Service at Washington Memorial Chapel
DESCRIPTION:Washington Memorial Chapel’s Veterans Commission has announced that it will honor the sacrifice and legacy of America’s fallen military heroes during its annual Memorial Day Remembrance Service on Monday\, May 25\, at the Washington Chapel. \nThis special commemoration will begin with a solemn Choral Matins at 11 AM\, which will pay tribute to the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to the United States. Through sacred music\, prayer\, and remembrance\, the Choral Matins will offer attendees an opportunity to reflect on the extraordinary courage and sacrifice of those who paid the ultimate price to protect America’s freedom. \nFather Tim Steeves\, a retired Army Chaplain and Lieutenant Colonel\, will serve as the guest speaker to offer his deeply personal understanding of military service\, sacrifice\, and faith. \n“Memorial Day is one of the most sacred observances our nation shares\,” said the Washington Memorial Veterans Commission. “It is a time to pause\, reflect\, and honor the men and women who laid down their lives for our country. We invite the community to join us in tribute\, gratitude\, and fellowship.” \nFollowing the service\, guests are invited to gather in fellowship for a Memorial Day picnic lunch honoring veterans\, military families\, and the surrounding community. The luncheon is free and open to the public\, though a suggested $10 donation is encouraged to help support the Veterans Commission. Guests are kindly asked to RSVP in advance. \nIn preparation for the Memorial Day observance\, the Veterans Commission is also seeking volunteers to assist with the picnic lunch and hospitality efforts. Volunteer opportunities include bringing side dishes\, desserts\, and/or beverages\, as well as helping with setup\, serving\, and cleanup. Those interested in volunteering may sign up. \nQuestions regarding the event or volunteer opportunities may be directed to Maeve Vogan at: veteranscommission@wmchapel.org
