SUMMARY:Urinetown
DESCRIPTION:The Villanova Theatre presents Urinetown! \nThis hilarious and subversive musical depicts a drought stricken dystopian society where private toilets are outlawed and there is a fee to pee. When a custodian of Public Facility #9 decides he’s had enough of the mega-corporation\, Urine Good Company\, he leads his community in a revolution to free citizens from the financial burden of paying to pee. \n  \nThis three-time Tony Award-winning musical saw success both on and off-Broadway in the early 2000s and was recently nominated for a Drama League Award for Outstanding Revival of a Musical in 2025. Urinetown remains a beloved political satire that delivers a perfect stream of irreverent humor aimed at capitalism\, social justice\, environmental collapse\, and musical theater itself.
