What Lives in the Pond?
May 22 @ 11:00 am - 12:00 pm
As you stand on the deck of Tyler’s pond and take a look around, you are likely to see frogs and fish, along with the tiny aquatic plant called duckweed. There might be turtles and other wildlife alongside them, such as water striders or spiders on the water, patiently waiting for a meal. Red-winged blackbirds and herons favor this environment, as do dragonflies and damselflies. Join Tyler volunteer Sue Fredrick as she helps you look at your water samples with your very own magnifying glass. She will lead you on a leisurely-paced tour as you learn about many animals and plants that thrive in and near the water. Pre-registration required, see event link for admission cost. For families with children 6 – 11.
