This Tween/Teen Art night is a fun, laid-back “art experience,” perfect for kids ages 10+, which brings kids together and allows them to experiment with ART! (Older teens are encouraged to join, too!) No experience is necessary, but yet those with more experience in art are encouraged to move forward and experiment, and are given the freedom to grow.
Tweens and teens will work with fluid, colorful alcohol inks. Moving beyond the basic “flowing” of colors on the non-porous paper, the artists at the Free Range Art Studio will teach how to apply alcohol inks to different materials and how to control the flow of the inks. Alcohol inks are beautiful, colorful, vibrant inks based in isopropyl alcohol. While they tend to dry very quickly, they can be blown around on the page before drying and they can be made fluid again once isopropyl alcohol is added. The studio will have numerous supplies available for students to use.
Doors open at 5:30 and kids are welcome to bring their dinner and eat in the studio. If your student has food allergies, please email the studio at freerangeartclasses@gmail.com before the event.
Please visit the Free Range Art website for full details.
