Tredyffrin Library Plant Club for Kids – Part One (6-week series)
February 22 @ 4:30 pm - 5:30 pm
Plant Club is back! For ages 8 – 12. Join the club and throughout the course of six weeks, learn how to plant and grow herbs and flowers from seed indoors; how to direct sow seeds for winter vegetables outdoors; how to propagate herbs; the basic science of growing plants; the importance of pollinators, pollinator plants, and trees; and using recycled and upcycled materials. All plants are grown in containers, but you will need a sunny spot indoors and a small space outdoors that gets sun (patio, balcony, fire escape, etc). You will be able to create a kit using supplies we provide: pots, trays, soil, seeds, plant markers, and more! Registration required; see event link. This is a live program via Zoom that will meet every Tuesday; you are expected to attend all classes since they are cumulative. Your one-time registration covers you for all six weeks of Plant Club – Part One. More info will be sent following your registration.
