Picasso and His Found Objects: Repurposing and Creating (Ages 4–7)

April 20, 2023 @ 4:30 pm - 6:00 pm

Join Svetlana from “Kids Look Listen Create.” In this class, students will learn about one of Picasso’s great passions: collecting… junk. They will also discover how Picasso with the power of his imagination made a new life for his found objects by creating the most unusual sculptures. We will discuss how repurposing junk could be good for the world in more than one way. We will “spy” everyday objects in some of Picasso’s most famous sculptures. In the second part of the class, students will be invited to create their own sculptures with recyclable objects. Registration required.
