PHS Philadelphia Flower Show + Kids Cocoon
The Philadelphia Flower Show offers a complete family experience that goes beyond traditional flower displays. While the show features impressive large-scale floral installations and landscapes created by world-renowned designers, it’s the interactive elements that make it especially appealing for families.
This year, The Franklin Institute and the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society have teamed up to create the Kids Cocoon, a special space for kids to explore the wonders of gardening and environmental stewardship. Open daily from 10 am to 7 pm (except March 9th) and free with Flower Show admission, the Kids Cocoon is a must-visit for families.
Family-Friendly Highlights:
- The Butterflies Live! exhibit allows visitors to walk among hundreds of native butterflies in an immersive environment.
- Children and adults can participate in hands-on activities throughout the day, including crafting sessions at Artisan Row where visitors create their own floral keepsakes.
- The Potting Party with Tu Bloom provides an engaging opportunity to learn about gardening through direct experience.
