Mural Making Workshop

Please Touch Museum is celebrating Mural Arts Month with Mural Arts Philadelphia (Mural Arts) this October 2022. Part of this celebration is hands-on mural making at the Museum with artists from the project! These mural making workshops will be happening at the Museum’s Creative Arts Studio each Saturday in October from 10 am–noon. Artists of the project will work with children and their families to help paint new murals that will soon be introduced to the community to inspire reading. Families will help paint each mural on parachute cloth, which will later be transferred to its future home. While in the Museum, visitors have the chance to see new murals coming to Philadelphia neighborhoods, as well as the artwork of young artists who inspired the mural designs. To participate, make a reservation to visit the Museum on one of the following dates:
- Sat., Oct. 22 from 10 am to noon with artist, Manuela Guillén
- Sat., Oct. 29 from 10 am to noon with artists, Andre Chaney and Jihan Thomas
