Visit the Museum over Memorial Day Weekend to pay tribute to the men and women who lost their lives in service to their country during the Revolutionary War and celebrate the freedoms they fought to secure for future generations.
During your visit, explore Revolution Place, the Museum’s family-friendly discovery center, which brings to life Old City’s lively, diverse neighborhood during the 1700s. Experience the Museum’s first-person theatrical performance portraying Continental Army soldier Joseph Plumb Martin. And learn about the life and legacy of free Black Philadelphian, Revolutionary War privateer, and successful businessman James Forten and his descendants in the Museum’s newest special exhibition: Black Founders: The Forten Family of Philadelphia.
Other attractions include the museum’s replica of a Revolutionary-era sloop where you can climb on board; artifacts and exhibits of soldiers, including the sword of fallen Revolutionary General Hugh Mercer; and much more. Cafe and gift shop open during museum hours.
Veterans, military, and Blue Star Families enjoy free admission throughout Memorial Day Weekend.
