Legally Blonde Dog Auditions at Radnor High School

Calling all canine stars! The Radnor High School Theatre Department is thrilled to announce a unique opportunity for local dogs to take the stage. We are looking for two special pups to join the cast of our upcoming production Legally Blonde as Bruiser and Rufus, two unforgettable characters sure to steal the show!

About the Roles:
Bruiser
Meet Bruiser, Elle’s cherished companion and a Delta Nu sorority favorite. A small but mighty presence, Bruiser helps Elle navigate her adventures while keeping a watchful eye on her suitors. Ideal candidates for Bruiser will be small, calm, and well-trained—able to accompany Elle seamlessly through their onstage escapades. While traditionally a Chihuahua, any small breed fitting these traits is welcome to audition!

Rufus
Rufus is the lovable best friend of Paulette, Elle’s hairstylist and confidante. A medium-to-large-sized dog with a calm and friendly demeanor, Rufus will play a touching role in reuniting with Paulette onstage. The chosen Rufus will receive special onstage recognition and a commemorative glamour photo to keep after the show.

Each pup will walk the runway on lead, showcasing their personality to an enthusiastic audience of students and faculty. After the runway, dogs will move to the stage for their auditions:

• Bruisers will interact with students playing Elle and the Delta Nu ladies.
• Rufuses will meet students portraying Paulette, Dewey, and Kyle.

Every participant will receive a certificate of participation, and their photo will be proudly displayed on their website!
