Kennett Square Memorial Day Parade

Kennett Square loves a parade, and the Memorial Day Parade—a fun, family-friendly event with something for everyone—is always its largest. The parade honors veterans, many of whom participate in the parade, riding in antique convertibles. Over a dozen marching bands and musical groups participate in the parade each year, from the Ferko String Band (Mummers) to the Philadelphia Eagles Pep Band and bagpipers, fife and drum corps, drum and bugle corps, high-school bands, and more. Spectators also enjoy seeing dancers, classic cars, colorful floats created by various community organizations, historic re-enactors, vintage military equipment, fire trucks, a Viking ship, and much more.
