Free First Sunday at Brandywine River Museum of Art
June 5 @ 9:30 am - 4:30 pm
An event every month that begins at 9:30 am on day First of the month, repeating until June 5, 2022
On the first Sunday of the month, the Museum will be open with free admission* to the galleries including two featured exhibitions, Gatecrashers: The Rise of the Self-Taught Artist in America and Dawoud Bey: Night Coming Tenderly, Black. In addition to free admission, creative art activities* will be offered from 10 am to 1 pm. Make whimsical wire sculptures, design pop-up books and add to a fanciful 3-D group assemblage. Also at the Museum, enjoy the return of the renowned Funicular Circus! These acrobats will amaze all with their innovative circus arts performance in the outdoor courtyard at 11:30 am, followed by a daring tight wire crossing of the Brandywine River at 1 pm. The circus performance and wire-walking are weather-permitting.
