On the first Sunday of March, the museum will be open from 10 am to 4 pm with free admission to the galleries including the featured exhibition, Andrew Wyeth: Home Places. In addition to free admission, from 10 am to 2 pm, join in creative art activities led by teaching artists. Develop an original adventure story inspired by imaginative illustrations in the museum’s galleries and decorate rhythm-makers to tell a tale through sound. At 11:15 am and 12:15 pm, enjoy high-energy, interactive African and African-American stories in a program of “Folktale Fun” presented by master storyteller TAHIRA. A First Sunday favorite with listeners of all ages, TAHIRA shares ancient wisdom, original stories, and songs using call-and-response and humor to convey powerful life lessons.
