Free Family Fundays at the Kimmel – Musicopia: Indonesian Dance

Entertain your littlest art lovers at the Plaza, and ignite imaginations with an array of enchanting performances and hands-on activities. This session of Musicopia will feature Modero, performing a medley of traditional Balinese dances in full, ornate, and colorful traditional costumes. The performance will start with a procession of dancers, the head of the ensemble will open the performance with a Balinese blessing which will then be followed by 3 traditional dances. Each dance will be introduced to provide the history and context of Balinese culture. The performance is free, but please register if you plan to attend. The event takes place inside the Kimmel Center.
