“Einstein Never Used Flash Cards” authors speak at Children’s Book World

January 20, 2025 @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm
Free

Do you want to know the latest scientific data on child development and learning? Up to date research on screen time? The importance of play?

Children’s Book World is proud to welcome authors Kathy Hirsh-Pasek, Ph.D. and Roberta Michnick Golinkoff, Ph.D. to the store on Tuesday, January 20th at 7 pm to celebrate the launch of the revised edition of their award-winning book, Einstein Never Used Flash Cards.

Pasek and Golinkoff are prominent child-development experts and collaborators who have written several acclaimed books. Dr. Hirsh-Pasek, a professor at Temple University and a senior fellow at the Brookings Institution, brings together scientists, journalists, policy makers, and entertainers to put learning science in the hands of educators. Dr. Golinkoff is a professor at the University of Delaware and the director of the Child’s Play, Learning, and Development Lab. She is known for her research on language development, the benefits of playful learning, the effects of media on children, and early spatial development.

They will share their book and then open the floor for a lively discussion, including time for questions and answers. Free event.
