Opening Day at Colonial Pennsylvania Plantation

The Colonial Pennsylvania Plantation will reopen for the 2023 season on March 25! Did you know, until the year 1752, March 25th was New Year’s Day in Colonial America? Come out to the farm to celebrate this historic day. They will be plowing the fields for spring crops with the help of friends from Stockton Village Farm. There will be New Year demonstrations, hearth cooking, woodworking, and much more! Visit the parlor and try your hand at making a popular, colonial New Year’s gift – an orange and clove pomander. Last admission is at 3 pm. Tickets available at the door.
The Plantation is located in Ridley Creek State Park, Edgmont Township, Delaware County, Pennsylvania.
