Battle of Brandywine: 245th Anniversary Historical Reenactment
September 24 @ 10:00 am - 4:00 pm
An event every week that begins at 10:00 am on Sunday and Saturday, repeating indefinitely
This year marks the 245th anniversary of the Battle of Brandywine in 1777, the largest land battle of the Revolutionary War. On September 24th & 25th, you are invited to witness a spectacular reenactment of this important battle. This event takes place on the actual site of the main battle combat area and will be one of the largest events of its kind. With the armies in full combat and the roar of cannons once again in the valley, you can imagine what it was like on that September day in 1777. See the cavalry supporting the infantry, as the regiments respond to the drummers call. Walk through the camps and see true 18th century life. Listen to local authors and learn the stories that formed this county. Shop 18th wares like pottery, ironware, and wood crafts. An event of this scale only happens every five years, so save this date! This is a free event, but donations are welcome. There will be food vendors on site for this event.
