101 Dalmations (1996 Disney Film; G)

On Movie Mondays, the Uptown Knauer Performing Arts Center presents some of their favorite movies. Tickets are $5 and include complimentary popcorn—a perfect family night out! This week’s feature film is 101 Dalmations.
The live action film, adapted from Disney Studios animated classic, The One Hundred and One Dalmatians is stars the inimitable Glenn Close as an evil high-fashion designer, the epitome of meanness, Cruella DeVil. This family favorite adventure comedy features a love story between Roger — a video game designer, and Anita — a fashion designer at the House of DeVil, and their dalmatians, Pongo and Perdita. When Cruella plots to steal adorable Dalmatian puppies in order to make an extravagant fur coat she creates an extravagant mess instead. There is plenty of cuteness to go around, and Glen Close’s performance as the evil Cruella won her a nomination for the Golden Globe Award for Best Actress
