This summer, new world adventures await! Penn Museum Anthropology Camp, exclusively designed for children ages 6-13, who are entering grades 1-8 for the 2024-25 school year, explores the story of humans—who we are, where we came from, and how we’re connected across cultures from around the world. Safeguarding your child’s health while ensuring a fun, educational camp experience remains the top priority.
Penn Museum Anthropology Camp offers week-by-week adventure-seekers the opportunity to look at history from around the world. Through interactive hands-on workshops; chats with experts and researchers from the University of Pennsylvania; and private explorations through the Museum’s brand-new galleries, anthropology campers safely globetrot across time and space. From the pharaohs of Ancient Egypt, and heroes of Rome and Greece to tribes in modern-day North America, campers are in for a world of fun.
Celebrate summer fun and learning through Penn Museum’s world-renowned collections. Each week features an exciting theme with hands-on workshops, expert talks, gallery exploration, and more! Registration opens January 17, 2024.

My son came home from camp every day excited to talk about the exhibits he visited. He developed a sense of identity attached to the museum. While watching a movie that featured some element of Egyptian mythology he said, “WE HAVE ONE OF THOSE AT THE MUSEUM!” At age six, the fact that he’s attaching ownership to your exhibits is huge. I’m so grateful.

It has had the additional effect of creating a sense of ownership of the collections for my children. The Penn Museum is their museum. They know the collections and care about the objects there.
