Child and Family Art Therapy Center | Best Neurodiversity Support – 2024 LOVE Awards
The Child and Family Art Therapy Center (CFATC) is a private practice providing loving, child-centered therapy, designed to make even the most reluctant child feel safe and comfortable attending. They specialize in supporting children and teens grappling with anxiety, depression, anger, family transitions, grief/loss, and trauma.
CFATC adolescent and child therapy specialists KNOW precisely how children think and heal. Every aspect of their services are designed to help children and teens find comfort in therapy, down to the waiting room, office, creative and play equipment, and parent support and skill-building. In addition to art, play, and verbal therapy, CFATC therapists use an eclectic range of evidence-based therapy approaches, such as CBT, narrative, ACT, Jungian, psychodynamic, and trauma informed - individualized for each child and family. Let's use playful approaches for serious challenges!
CFATC is especially known for treating neurodiverse youth with autism, ADHD, and learning differences in social skill groups and individual therapy. Program founder and director, Mike Fogel, is also the founder of The Art of Friendship Social Skills Program and Camp Pegasus, the Philadelphia area's leading social skills program, which has supported thousands of children with autism and ADHD since 2000.
Their holistic treatment works at three levels: cognitive (coping skill-building), the deeper emotional level (getting out stuck feelings and overcoming trauma and pain with creative & play materials), and at the family level (parent support & skill training).
You are invited to schedule a FREE 30-minute consultation call with a therapist to explore your child's needs, learn how their adolescent or child therapy services can help, and to determine whether you would like to work with them.

We found the therapy for our child to be life changing. Our son had been defiant and controlling the house. He fired his first two therapists and hated therapy. We didn’t know where to turn, but our search led us to CFATC. With our therapist, we learned ways to safely take back control at home. Now our son happily participates in his therapy, constantly repeats back the coping skills catchphrases his therapist teaches, and we are on the right track! I couldn’t be more grateful to the team at CFATC.
