Longwood Garden’s Festival of Fountains

Through September 30

The gorgeous display of fountains is back combining lights, technology, and water displays which will excite the whole family.

Van Gogh Museum Editions Pop-up Tour

Through October 14

Lord and Taylor Court at King of Prussia Mall, 160 N. Gulph Rd., King of Prussia

 

If you’re at the mall (or need an excuse to go), stop by Lord and Taylor Court to see a display of unparalleled, curator-approved replicas of nine Van Gogh masterpieces– it is even possible to feel Van Gogh’s famous brushstrokes! This pop-up is the first stop on the Van Gogh Museum’s tour, and will be there until October 14.

Unicorn Day at Middletown Free Library

All ages are invited to enjoy all things unicorns, individuality, uniqueness, and colorful! Enjoy all-day activities, stations, and snacks; with a special Drag Queen Story Time with Brittany Lynn at 2:30pm! There is also a special Paint Your Own Unicorn Horn art project at 10:30 am. Registration is required for the art project, but not for the rest of the day’s activities.

Family Yoga at Highland Orchards

Pop-Up Biergarten at Historic Sugartown

Explore Sugartown’s historic buildings while enjoying a beverage to end summer. Historic Sugartown has teamed up with Malvern-based Locust Lane Craft Brewery, as well as Chaddsford Winery, Famous Crab Cakes by Rigatoni, Saloon 151, and Scoop’s ‘N’ Smiles to create a relaxing happy hour. There will also be paper marbling demonstrations on site.

Kids can enjoy the newly renovated playground equipment, while the rest of the family enjoys a live performance of Elvis tunes.

Lulu’s is open until 7:30pm for more fun, BYOB and pizza starting at 4 pm. Parents can relax with some adult beverages while kids tire themselves out before bedtime.

Labor Day Fireworks at Sesame Place

September 1—2, after the 8 pm parade

100 Sesame Road, Langhorne

 

Rock out with Elmo, Abby Cadabby, Cookie Monster, and Count von Count as their music fills the air and the sky is covered with colorful bursts of brilliance. Fireworks take place after the 8 pm evening performance of the Neighborhood Street Party Night Parade.

Ludwig’s Corner Horse Show and Country Fair

Celebrating its 75th year, this iconic Chester County country fair has a midway full of fun for the kids, a wide array of vendors selling everything from antiques to handmade jewelry, and of course equestrian events all weekend long. Don’t miss the carriage parade or the alpaca meet and greet.

West Chester Growers Market Labor Day Weekend Picnic

This farmers’ market holds an annual picnic to thank customers. They’ll be grilling hot dogs and sweet corn, and serving lemonade.

Charming Star Playroom Grand Opening

Animal lovers who live in Norristown are invited to visit the EPZ for free! Don’t forget your proof of residency–a driver’s license or a utility bill will do the trick.
