Presidents Day Break Camps Around the Main Line

Working February 17? Your kids will love one of these camps.

If your kids have off for Presidents Day but you have to work, you’re in luck: lots of places are offering day-off camps sure to entertain kids of all ages and interests!

Philadelphia Rock Gyms

February 14 and 17, 9 am — 3 pm (half day and extended care available)

Ages 4 and up (ages 6 and up for full day camp)

All PRG locations including Oaks and Coatesville

 

Kids can spend the day learning bouldering and top rope skills, while also strengthening their problem solving, communication, and teamwork. Kids will also do team-building exercises, arts and crafts, and even yoga to help with balance and body positioning. Choose from full day for $80 or half day til noon for $45. Extended care is also available for an additional $10 an hour. Philadelphia Rock Gyms have seasonal camps at all of their locations in the area, so check out their website for all the options.

 

Tyler Arboretum

Nature-based camp with exploration and theming! On February 14, it’s Valentine’s Potions! Then on February 17, kids will learn about maple sugaring.

Kehler’s Gymnastics 

Ages 3.5 — 12

HomeCooked

February 17, 10 am–1 pm or 2–5 pm

Kids will make a snack, a dinner entrée that serves 5, and a festive dessert! HomeCooked will supply ingredients for everyone to make Mini Taco Sliders (vegetarian or beef) plus a side and a cherry dessert to bring home for your family dinner.

Marple Sports Arena

Let your kids enjoy an active break from school with rock climbing, skating, sports play, and arcade time at this fun center.

The Handwork Studio

February 14 and 17,  9 am — 3 pm (morning and afternoon half days available)
Ages 5-12 for Handwork Camp; 9-15 for Fashion & Machine Sewing Camp. NEW Design & Build camp on 2/17, 9 am — 3 pm.

Creative, project-based crafting is the name of the game at the Handwork Studio. Older kids can opt for a full day of fashion and machine sewing. Kids will leave with one or two completed projects. Early care and aftercare are available at an additional cost.

The Center on Central

February 14 and 17, 9 am — 4 pm (half day, before and after care available)

This creative arts camp is offered on days when children are out of school. Kids will do arts and crafts project, as well as movement activities like yoga.

Riverbend Environmental Education Center

February 17, 9 am — 3:30 pm, extended day options available
Ages 4—11

Grounded in nature-based STEM education programs, children at Riverbend will enjoy hikes, outdoor exploration, crafts, science experiments and hands-on activities in Nature Superheroes camp!

Young Sports

February 17, 9 am–1pm (with flexibility)
Ages 2.5—8

A full day of fun engaging your child physically, socially, and mentally in a controlled, indoor environment. Kids will engage in sports, games, team activities, and crafts.

    Philadelphia Rock Gym is offering Full and Half Day Camp on Feb. 15 and Feb. 18 at all locations including PRG Fishtown, East Falls, Oaks and Coatesville!
