Learn more about this incredible couple and their positive outlook.

Their Nominator Says:

Wendy Ross, MD is a developmental pediatrician specializing in the treatment of autistic children. Both she and her husband, Michael Ross, MD, have medical challenges of their own, along with full-time jobs and two teenage boys. Wendy has done many wonderful things on behalf of autistic children over many years. But the best thing about both Wendy and Michael is their attitude towards life and living. They are always upbeat, no matter what is going on in their lives and they have learned to live life to the fullest, day by day, never complaining or being down. They are two amazing and incredible people, both of whom deserve acknowledgement as Parents of the Year!

What is a favorite quote that inspires you?

“Everything will be okay in the end.  If it is not okay, it is not the end.”    — John Lennon

How do you find balance?

We laugh a lot.  We don’t believe we have balance, or that we will ever really have balance, but in embracing the imbalance and keep moving forward.

If you could go back in time, what is some parenting advice would you give yourself the day your first child was born?

We were such great parents before we had kids!  Looking back, we would tell ourselves to relax and to parent like no one is judging…..to enjoy more and worry less.
