Get out your sweaters and bundle up the kids for orchard hayrides, apple cider, pumpkin carving, face-painting, and more this autumn!

Indian Orchards Farm

29 Copes Lane, Media PA 19063

Indian Orchards is a small family-run organic orchard established in 1913 just five minutes from downtown Media with a 200-year-old barn, tours, events, pick your own fruit fun, and a farm stand! Indian Orchards offers a wide variety of hand-tended fruits, including local heritage apples picked from 100-year-old trees, peaches and plums famous for their rich flavor and juiciness, and lush fields of blueberry, raspberry, and blackberry bushes grown without any sprays. Open summer and fall from 10am- 6pm, pick raspberries, blackberries, peaches, plums, nectarines, pears, apples, pawpaws and vegetables in September, apples and pumpkins in October and November, and don’t forget to visit in December for Christmas trees, holly, and firewood!

Linvilla Orchards

137 West Knowlton Road, Media

Welcome to Pumpkinland! The iconic autumn experience for local natives, Linvilla Orchards has it all for fall: 20 varieties of apples to pick, Pumpkin Harvest Weekends through November 6, a hay bale maze, 3-acre cornfield maze, train rides during the week, pony rides, an incredible playground, a beer garden, barnyard animals and so much more. Don’t miss the pies, cider, and many goodies in the apple mart!

Highland Orchards

1000 Marshalton Thorndale Road, West Chester

Highland Orchards has all of the fall fun you can imagine, from pumpkin painting, scarecrow making, sand art, and hayrides, to apple and pumpkin picking. Keep an eye out for family fun like the seed cider and food truck influx on Saturdays, plus pumpkin-carving demonstrations! Grown-up fun includes the Wine and Beer Garden, plus lots of visiting breweries like Bog Turtle and Locust Lane.

Milky Way Farms

521 Uwchlan Ave., Chester Springs

During Pumpkin Harvest Season, get a free hayride on weekends from September 29th to October 28th straight to the pick-your-own pumpkin patch! On Pumpkin Harvest weekends, the farm is open Saturday and Sunday from 10am-5pm. Visit with young farm animals, enjoy farm fresh ice cream, and hit the market for pumpkins, gourds, Indian corn, and other fall harvest themed goods. The farm is open during weekdays in October from 3-5, but no hayrides are available. Groups of any size are welcomed to Pumpkin Harvest weekends, but please email in advance to schedule for groups bigger than fifteen. And don’t forget to find your way through the corn maze!

Sugartown Strawberries

650 Sugartown Road, Malvern

Come visit the pumpkin patch at Sugartown Strawberries! Pumpkin-picking runs throughout October with hayrides to and from the field on weekends. Get lost for a while in the hay bale maze and when you emerge, visit the Country Store for mini pumpkins, Sugartown Strawberries honey, and more!

Solebury Orchards

3325 Creamery Road, New Hope

Set in the picturesque countryside of Bucks County, Solebury Orchards invites you during weekends in September, October, and the first weekend of November for wagon rides through the orchards for apple picking! So many varieties, like Empire and Crimson Crisp, and much more in the farm Market, plus apple and fruit butters and more! Open to visitors Thursdays through Sundays from 9am to 6pm, pick-your-own is open rain or shine.

Weaver’s Orchard

40 Fruit Lane, Morgantown

Weaver’s Orchard, established in 1932, is a pick-your-own farm, market, and events destination throughout the region with so many varieties of apples and other fruits you won’t have heard of lots of them! Fall Family Fun Days on Saturdays mid-September to the end of October feature food, hay rides, pick-your-own fruit, live music, and kids’ activities like face painting, obstacle courses, and a clown. Weaver’s Orchard is open Monday to Friday 8am to 6pm, Saturday 7am to 4pm.

Varner Farms

746 South Trappe Road, Collegeville

For an old-fashioned family fall experience, head to Varner farms for seasonal fun! During autumn weekends, take a wagon ride to the pumpkin patch, and a long walk through a 5-acre cornfield maze. Kids will enjoy Harvest Land, pony rides, face painting, pumpkin painting, and scarecrow-making! Don’t miss the pick-your-own-flowers field, or the farm store for cider, hay, and more! Come back in December for a rustic cut-your-own Christmas tree experience and stay for wreaths, roping, greens, mistletoe and ornaments!
