Longwood Garden’s Festival of Fountains

The gorgeous display of fountains is back combining lights, technology, and water displays which will excite the whole family.

Van Gogh Museum Editions Pop-up Tour

Through October 14

Lord and Taylor Court at King of Prussia Mall, 160 N. Gulph Rd., King of Prussia

 

If you’re at the mall (or need an excuse to go), stop by Lord and Taylor Court to see a display of unparalleled, curator-approved replicas of nine Van Gogh masterpieces– it is even possible to feel Van Gogh’s famous brushstrokes! This pop-up is the first stop on the Van Gogh Museum’s tour, and will be there until October 14.

Upper Gwynedd Township Carnival

Ludwig’s Corner Horse Show and Country Fair

Doylestown Arts Festival

Featuring 160 juried artists, live music on 5 stages, local food vendors, live art, and interactive demonstrations, the festival is a great experience for all ages. Kids will love the rock wall and art activities like sand art, scarf painting, and more.

First Responders Weekend at Sesame Place

Celebrate and thank the men and women who help keep our communities safe. Get an up close look at emergency vehicles, photos with everyone’s favorite Sesame Street friends dressed up in uniform, and more.

Johnny Appleseed Day

Come celebrate the man credited with spreading apple trees to parts of North America. There will be a story time by the man himself, apple picking, farmyard play area, and the chance to pet some animals. There will be plenty of apple-themed treats including candy apples, caramel apples, and of course apple cider.

Archaeology Festival

September 8, 10 am—3 pm

Newlin Grist Mill, 219 Cheyney Rd., Glen Mills

 

This festival features a full day of hands-on activities. Visitors will be able to work with professional archaeologists and assist with three different excavations; sift, clean, and process artifacts; and see artifact displays from around Delaware County. There will also be a variety of activities designed for kids.

Haverford Music Festival

Head to the adorable town of Malvern for their premier fall festival. If you’re taking the kids, head to Burke Park where Song for Seeds will be performing and there will be inflatables, games, balloon artists, and more! When the kids have had their fill, head to King Street and Warren Avenue for live music that adults will enjoy, and some delicious foods being served by local food trucks.
