FreePlay on the Parkway is free and open to everyone, with an interactive water exploration by Fairmount Waterworks that is designed to encourage creativity and community. This type of exhibit is a prototype for flexible design concepts that will make use of underutilized spaces in the city.
Learn about the planets and stars in our night sky from a real astronomer from the Franklin Institute at the Radnor Memorial Library. Suitable for school-aged children.
It’s the Summer Reading Kick-Off Party for the Paoli Library! Enjoy story time, songs, crafts, and play time with the whole family, and learn about what the library has to offer for the whole summer. Event takes place at the Paoli Firehouse.

The Plymouth Meeting Mall has two great family events today. Learn about big cats and other carnivores at a touchable exhibit from Elmwood Park Zoo, plus take home a free funpack. Or you can take Dad out for some early Father’s Day fun at One Crazy Fan to visit DeMeco Ryans in his first official appearance as a Philadelphia Eagles linebacker.
Tee off to a great Father’s Day weekend at Festival at Exton Shopping Center with golf competitions, refreshments, discounts, and giveaways, all hosted by Golf Etc. at Exton.
The Chester County Balloon Festival boasts 20 hot air balloons in attendance, plus vendors, food, live music, and lots of fun activities for the whole family. Fireworks are scheduled for tonight and advanced reservations are taken for one-hour hot air balloon rides. Climb in the basket and check off an item from Dad’s bucket list this weekend!
