Giveaway: Family Pack of Tickets to the Nutcracker!

Win a family four-pack of tickets to a performance of one of the holiday season’s most cherished events, the Nutcracker, performed by International Ballet Classique!

International Ballet Classique is a non-profit classical ballet company based at Neumann University in Aston. Introduce a child to the wonders of live theater or surprise a dance-lover with a night of magic. You’ll all leave with visions of the Sugar Plum Fairy dancing in your heads!

To enter, comment on this post with your favorite holiday carol or song (And no, it doesn’t have to be Tchaikovsky’s Nutcracker Suite!) by Friday, December 2, 2011, at midnight. The winner will be chosen using random.org. Be sure to use a frequently checked email address in the appropriate section of the comment form, as the winner will be contacted by email. One entry per household, please.

The winner may choose to attend one of the following performances:

Saturday, December 17, 2 pm

    Silent Night! I love listening to children sing this one!!! They sound like lil angels!

    All I want for Christmas is my two front teeth – reminds me when I was 4 and fell down the steps on Christmas Eve and knocked out my teeth – I was so excited to see a family friend who came to visit!

    My favorite Christmas song is When Christmas Comes To Town, from The Polar Express. My daughter sung this in a concert and I have been in love with the song since. Have to admit, it may not be the song, just the way she sounds when sings it.

    I Heard The Bells On Christmas Day which is basically a poem by Longfellow that was put to music. He wrote it during the Civil War, and it reminds me that no matter how bleak things look, especially sometimes at the holidays when you’ve lost those you love and we’re in times of war or upheaval, there is always hope and a reason to be happy.
